Certification Against Bullying
What is UNI/PdR 42:2018?
Certification Against Bullying. Italy is the first country in the world to focus on this critical and urgent issue. Thanks to the implementation of UNI/PdR 42:2018, an Official Certification Against Bullying strongly promoted by Accredia in collaboration with MOIGE, UNI, FIDAE, and ISRE, all schools—whether public or private, and at any educational level—can choose to adhere to the Anti-Bullying Charter.
If these institutions demonstrate compliance with the established rules and commitment to protecting the rights of the most vulnerable, they can obtain the Official Anti-Bullying Certification from a certifying body officially accredited by Accredia.
According to the latest ISTAT data, the most affected group consists of girls aged 11 to 17, particularly in northern Italian schools. Educational institutions interested in obtaining this certification can do so through an accredited organization, thereby proving the actual implementation of the required anti-bullying measures.
The UNI/PdR 42:2018 framework represents an unprecedented innovation in the field of certifications in Italy and worldwide. This new procedure provides schools and organizations hosting minors with a valuable tool to achieve anti-bullying certification. These institutions must adopt and publicly share a document outlining all the anti-bullying measures required by the framework, clearly defining objectives and strategies.
It is important to note that the list of anti-bullying principles was carefully studied and developed by a highly specialized team, including educators, lawyers, and representatives of child protection associations.

- definition of a “procedure for identifying and managing critical issues relating to bullying”;
- appointment of an “Anti-bullying Commission”;
- periodic carrying out of scheduled and surprise “anti-bullying audits” by an officially accredited, third-party and independent certifying body.
